Scale Finder and FretBoard Map

I made an excel program back in 2012, to find what chords fit a particular key or a particular scale and where to find them in a guitar fret-board. It's only for 4 scales, Major, Minor, Harmonic Minor and Blues. (Haven't had the time to add modes or exotic scales, or pentatonic scales even) It's pretty easy to use. You just pick a particular key. Like C or D# etc. Then you pick a scale. (Major, Minor, Harmonic Minor) Then thats it. A guitar fret-board will show which particular note you'll have to use in the fret-board to stay in key Anyways, it's not much. but it may help you somehow It's in this link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9YSodwjXVZdRmQ4QVgzVVFtTVE PS: this assumes you're on a 6 string guitar, on standard tuning only I like to think of this now as my gift to the music world.

Si (2015) | Bob Ong

This is only an expression as an observer of Bob Ong's latest material "Si" I was mildly surprised to see a colleague reading this new book, then I got myself a copy from national bookstore. This may be his best work. Here, Bob Ong explores themes of love. I know he's dabbled with youth/teenage love before. But nothing this mature, like the story has come-of-age. In a nutshell,  You are being told of the life of a man reverse chronologically;  as a grand parent being reunited with grand sons, and daughters; as a husband, comforting and sharing the pains of his wife; as a parent, raising his children; as a couple, in a long distance relationship; as a heartbroken suitor, trying to run away; as a heart-breaker, trying to find his way; as a child, running around, and this little crush from a girl during Sunday mass; and as a son to his mother and father. All this parallel with bits of Philippine history at the background. This is some very goo...

Valentines

Nothing too special. It's alright. I'm not down in the dumps or anything. I just know my place. And i'm cool with it.  This is a pretty content moment in my life right now. Yes, there are things I can always do better, and there are circumstances I'm working to get to. It's all good fun. Valentines. At least, that's the way i see it now. It's the one day out of 365 to celebrate love. Obviously, that's a tough environment to be in if you're single. But it shouldn't be.  I think the reason why some people find Valentines harsh, is that the environment forces you to focus on what you don't have. And that's true. Everywhere you look, there are couples out and about. Flowers and chocolates being exchanged. And maybe you can't help but to compare yourself.  That's a tricky thing to maneuver yourself out. Then again, it shouldn't be like that. The day's meant to celebrate love, not simply being in a relationship. The fact ...

HomeMade music

it's a sort of a gift. well maybe not a gift.  a gift changes ownership. I just had this tune then I thought of this girl i was crushing on it wasn't like a conscious effort to make one.

Life and discipline

Gregg Popovich during an All-Army, All-Air Force, All-Navy and All-Marine Corps players assembled Nov. 5, 2012 at Chaparral Fitness Center on Joint Base San Antonio Lackland.   "I am no different from you all. All of us in our lives take different paths for different reasons. Things happen to us; some good, some bad." "This [Tim] Duncan guy, this [Manu] Ginobli guy, and this [Tony] Parker guy, they are pretty important to me being successful," Popovich said. "Like, if I didn't have them, I would be coaching in the Budweiser League someplace. And I know that. A lot of people don't know who they are. I know who I am and it started in the military where they broke me down to zero and put me in a box … and didn't care if I was this, that or the other in high school. I was nothing. And they built me back up so that I knew what I could do and what I couldn't do. I knew my strengths. I knew my place. I knew it wasn't all about me. I knew it w...
